AUTUMN MOON EVE will be an intimate evening of music, dance, calligraphy, and food at the Tucson Chinese Cultural Center, in partnership with TCCC and timed to their Autumn Moon Festival. It’s a Friends of the Festival gathering and fundraiser, sponsored by the generous folks at Long Realty, to celebrate culture, community, and the launch of TMY 2026 — a landmark year, with Tucson chosen as one of roughly 40 festivals nationwide for the Smithsonian’s Of the People initiative marking America’s 250th anniversary.

Share food and conversation with fellow members, get a sneak peek at the upcoming festival, and take in a lineup of live music, dance, and calligraphy. Browse the pop-up market, linger over mooncakes, and toast the season alongside SFA staff and the artists who make this work possible.

The evening leads into the Tucson Chinese Cultural Center’s own Autumn Moon Festival the following day—a celebration TMY and the Southwest Folklife Alliance are proud to support.

Autumn Moon Eve is generously supported by Long Realty.

The evening includes:

  • Lion and dragon dancing
  • Hawaiian hula
  • Traditional Chinese instrumental music
  • Live calligraphy
  • Mooncakes, dumplings, and small bites from across our cultural communities
  • A pop-up market (6:00–7:00 PM)

This is an invitation-only event for Friends of the Festival members, along with SFA VIPs, board, and staff. Space is limited.
