My family is a part of me. I’ve been with my husband, Rene, for 16 years, and we run a family business together. We are literally together 24/7 because when we’re not working, we’re at home with our two kids. My son and I are both into music. When we’re in the car, we sing to ’80s music together. He plays saxophone and inspired me to play again. Saxophone was my world when I was in high school. I planned on making a future out of it by going to college to pursue it. I had one bad audition and gave it up. Our bond of playing together made me remember what it was like to play over 15 years ago. My daughter is eight and has been dancing for four years. I love watching her competitive dance team. All I want for my children is for them to have something they love.
