Thistle & Bear

Thistle & Bear performs traditional folk music from Celtic and Scandinavian lands. Including traditions from Ireland, Scotland, Cornwall, The Isle of Man, Finland, Sweden, and Norway. With an emphasis on the overlap of traditions from these regions, we hope to encourage a view of European folk music that is less focused on national boundaries and more focused on a shared heritage. Thistle & Bear is Mariah McCammond on fiddle and vocals in English and Gaelic and Anton Shekerdzhiev on guitar.
