Monzon Dance Co.

Angie Koomar and Mohan have danced together since 2013, ultimately starting Monzon Dance Co in 2016. Their dance company has traveled around the country teaching and performing at various dance festivals/congresses, using their passion for bachata and salsa to help put Tucson, Arizona on the Latin Dance Community’s radar. Back at home, Monzon Dance Co primarily focuses on providing weekly classes and monthly socials to bring more and more individuals into Tucson’s Latin dance community.

Bachata originated in the 1960’s throughout the countryside of the Dominican Republic. The music was first developed with a heavy guitar emphasis and heartrending love stories as its basis.
