Jasmine Syrian Folk & Dabke Band

Jasmine Syrian Folk and Dabke Band is comprised of Syrian refugees to Tucson wanting to keep their culture alive and share it with others. Dabke is a group dance shared throughout the Mediterranean and Middle East, interpreted distinctly by each country, region, or village. Folk music consists of storytelling and life lessons shared by the singers. Many people in Tucson know of the Syrian refugee community for the Syrian Sweets Sale, where refugees sell delicious pastries.
