One of my favorite memories from Tucson Meet Yourself was seeing how the event brought together people from so many different backgrounds through food, culture, and community. Volunteering with the Muslim Students Association gave us the opportunity to share our traditions, answer questions about Islam, and meet people who were genuinely interested in learning more. It was rewarding to see families, students, and community members enjoying the experience together and leaving with a better understanding of our culture. Being part of TMY reminded me how powerful community events can be in building connections and breaking down misconceptions, and I’m grateful I had the chance to represent the MSA there.
