Haircutting been a passion of mine for the last 20 years. My mom was hairstylist. She retired after 45 years. She wanted something better for me, something that had retirement, a 401K, versus having to discipline myself. I went to college and here I am 20 years later, still working for myself having to discipline. I currently own a hair salon. I figured why not follow my passion? I’m also a painter, I paint houses. But I don’t want to be 60 years old on top of a ladder painting, but I sure as can be behind a chair cutting hair. My purpose in being a barber isn’t just about fulfilling my passion, it’s that rewarding smile you see at the end if the haircut. Whether it’s a child or adult or elderly or homeless, the end result brings a smile.
