Being part of a team has always been in my heritage from growing up in little league baseball and soccer to high school basketball on to now. Working as a family, that’s teamwork. Raising children is teamwork. My job as a police officer is teamwork. It’s that thing: the chain is the weakest link. Everyone needs to step up and do their part to make the outcome be successful. It’s not just one person. So if you have a superstar and they get hurt and they’re out, the team can still succeed move forward just with the fundamentals they learned in practice. As an officer at Tucson Meet Yourself, I get to do a job that I love. I’m here to protect public safety. But I get to experience the cultures of Tucson while working, so it’s kind of the best of both worlds. Yesterday I had the jerk chicken and I think I’m going to go for the Thai food today.
