My dad has been making boots for over 30 years. I guess I was born into business. I was so excited when my dad told me that I could design my own boot. I was 15. I had my name in the back and in the front I had the Virgen de Guadalupe. They were really flashy because they were the red ostrich boots. I remember taking them to parties and shows and always getting compliments. In the Mexican culture, lots of people love wearing boots, mostly the pointy toe instead of the round or the traditional square toe. If you go to a Mexican party or fiesta, you’ll for sure see a pair of boots there. What’s really nice is that each customer can design their own boot. How ever they feel about themselves, their boots express that. So, there’s no other boot that would be the same as yours.
